John Shackford died on 2 November 1786 in Chester, New Hampshire. [1][2] John of Portsmouth married first Dorcas Lovejoy of Andover on 25 October 1727 in Portsmouth. [3] He married second the widow Hannah Lancaster of Metheun on 27 November 1751 in Methuen. [4]
Dorcas Lovejoy was born in 1701 in Andover. [5]
John was a shoemaker. [2] He came to Chester from Andover. [2]
John had a daughter who married Simon French. [2]
Children of John Shackford and Dorcas Lovejoy:
i. John Shackford died by 10 June 1779, when his will was proved. [2] He married Sarah, the daughter of Lieutenant Ebenezer Dearborn. [2] She died in 1814. [2] He might be the unknown child born in 1735.
ii. Theodore Shackford was probably born about 1728, based on his marriage. He married Mary Bartlett on 14 February 1754. [2]
iii. Samuel Shackford was born on 4 February 1731/2 in Andover. [6]
iv. Unknown Shackford was born on 9 September 1735 in Andover. [6]
v. Dorcas Shackford was born on 22 October 1742 in Andover. She married Simon French.
